The Unit for Academic Literacy is pleased to announce the award of an NRF grant to Dr Boakye for research on the use of socio-affective and cognitive strategies to improve reading ability of first-year Sociology students in the Humanities Faculty. The grant includes a visit by Dr Angela McRae from the University of Maryland to the University of Pretoria in 2015.
