The Anual TuksOpen Tennis Tournament took place on 27 & 28 October and on 3 & 4 November 2018.
Two TuksTennis women student players made it all the way to the TuksOpen women’s single (WS) finals. They made history as this has never happened before.
The two roommates, Amy Olivier and Kyla Yelverton had to put their friendship aside for a second and played hard-ball. After an intense battle, Amy claimed the gold with a score of 6-3 6-2.
Congratulations ladies, TuksTennis and your coaches are very proud of you!
In the women’s doubles (WD) finals, Amy Olivier (Tuks) and her partner Arista Siebrits (from another club) took gold against the Tuks student players Kyla Yelverton and Channelle Oosthuizen.
The men’s doubles (MD) was won by the Tuks players Henco Doman and Reynard Steenkamp.
