Assupol TuksCricket Women's Player in ICC World T20 Tournament Team

Assupol TuksCricket women's player, Suné Luus has been named as part of the tournament team after the ICC World T20.

The 20 year old Tuks and Protea leg-spinner didn't even know that a team like this was going to be announced after the tournament so the selection came as a massive surprise for her.

Even though South Africa didn't go through to the semi-finals Luus still recorded the best bowling figures of the tournament, 5/8 versus Ireland. She finished the tournament with 7 wickets and the third best bolwing average. She was delighted that she reached her own goals at the tournament but was dissappointed that the team didn't reach their goals.

Luus said, "I was very surpised to have been selected for this, especaiily at my age. It is an honour to achieve this as you never know when this can be taken away from you. I live in the moment and hope that this is another stepping stone in the growth of my career."

Luus is a student in the Higher Certificate in Sports Science programme at the University of Pretoria and plays matches for the Tuks 3 men's team who play in the NCU Reserve League when she gets a chance.
