The final event of the 2015 Varsity Athletics Series took place on Monday 20 April in Stellenbosch.

It was a bitter-sweet night for UP-Tuks as they shared the 2015 title with NWU-Pukke after the points were all square after the two events in the series.

Highlights for the University of Pretoria students at the event on Monday were Akani Simbine's 200m 21.00s victory and Anneri Ebersohn's 400mH victory. Other notable performances came from Sonia Smuts who won the women's shot put with a 15.78m throw and the men's 4x100m relay, the men retained their unbeaten streak with another win in a time of 40.03s.

The Tuks student-athletes now gear up for the USSA event that wil take place later this week, 23 - 24 April 2015.
