UP-Tuks 1 lock Reniel Hugo was named captain of the Varsity Cup Dream Team that will play the SA u.20’s in Stellenbosch on 21 April .

Hugo, who captained UP-Tuks in the 2014 Varsity Cup series, is one of seven UP-Tuks players who were included in the Dream Team announced on Monday directly after the Varsity Cup final between Shimlas and NWU-Pukke in Bloemfontein. Two of the UP-Tuks players, the centre Dan Kriel and replacement hooker Jaco Visagie, were forced to withdraw because they are part of the Bulls’ Super 15 squad.

This leaves Hugo, his lock partner Irné Herbst and flanker Wiaan Liebenberg, who skippered UP-Tuks in the 2015 Varsity Cup competition, in the Dream Team starting XV with props Mox Moxoli and Dayan van der Westhuizen on the bench.
