Bodybuilding: Tuks' JC takes silver at SA Champs

Posted on September 09, 2010

JC is one of only two silver medallists who has been selected to represent South Africa at the IFBB's World Championships in Turkey in December.

On 21 August JC won the North Gauteng title and finished 2nd overvall position at the North Gauteng Championships.

Two weeks before that he also won the u.21 title at the H & H Classic in Pretoria.

His performance during the H & H Classic was captured best by an article on the website of the Muscle Evolution Magazine:

"JC Gilbert made a great showing, winning the junior under 21 division, demonstrating such amazing talent that if he chooses to pursue bodybuilding to it's full extent he will, without a doubt, become one of South Africa's best. He has perfect proportions, thickness and density to match, not to mention, he was one of the few overall guys in the competition to display shredded glutes. JC fits firmly in my category of athletes who are destined to be the future of South African bodybuilding, so I look forward to seeing him improve in years to come."
