Prof de la Rey is the first serving Principal of the University to have taken up active membership of a sports club.
The Bestmed Tuks Race takes place on Saturday, 19 February at the TuksAthletics track on the University's Sport Campus. The 10 km and 21 km races start at 05:45 and the 5 km at 6:15.
Entry forms for the various races are available at the Wannabee Shop on the Hatfield Campus.
