TuksBoxing : Adam turns pro

Posted on April 07, 2011

two years in a row (2009 and 2010) in two weight groups (welter weight and junior welter weight).
In 2010 he also received the award for Best USSA Boxer.

In order to turn Pro Adam had to Spar against other amateur hopefuls in front of the Boxing South Africa
Officials in order to gain promotion and his Pro Licence. Adam went up against a boxer form the Congo, and was awarded his licence.

Turning pro has been a long standing dream of Adam's and competing in his first Pro Fight will mean more to him than any other amateur achievement.

Sadly for TuksSport once a boxer turns Pro he may never box amateur again - this means that Adam even though still a student will no longer be able to compete at the USSA Boxing Championships. We are however hugely proud of Adam and his achievements.

Adam has a very busy training schedule, training three times a day. Session 1 - Road work, Session 2 - Strength and Conditioning, Session 3 - Boxing. Adam is trained and managed by Colin Nathan.

At the moment Adam's first Pro Fight is scheduled to take place on the 10th of May at Emperors Palace, his opponent has not yet been confirmed.

Adam aspires to one day win a World Title and he would love to box in Las Vegas.

Congratulations and Good Luck Adam.
