The Tuks/HPC-athlete won in a time of 12.92s which is 0.02s faster than the record set by Corien Botha in 1998. Unfortunately, the wind from behind was measured at 2.01m/s which means it was too strong by 0.01m/s for Steenkamp’s time to be official.

The TuksHockey Women’s team completed a unique double over the weekend when they managed to beat the University of Johannesburg in the final of the South African Universities (USSA) Tournament. The team is also the Varsity Champions.

Last night in Ostrava Rikenette Steenkamp has done what she has been threatening to do the whole season and that was to dip under 13 seconds in the 100m-hurdles. She is only the second South African athlete to do so.
