UP Student Sport Executive Committee Nominations Now Open for 2025/26 Term

The time has come! Nominations for the University of Pretoria Student Sport 2025/26 Executive Committee are officially open from 16 May 2025 (00:00) to 24 July 2025 (17:00). This is your chance to take on a leadership role that plays a vital part in shaping the student sporting experience at UP.

If you are passionate about sport, student development, and leading with purpose, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Nomination Requirements

To qualify for nomination, candidates must:

1. Be a full-time registered student at the University of Pretoria.

2. Have achieved a minimum average of 60% in the semester preceding the elections.

3. Be registered for at least 80% of the modules required to complete their degree.

4. Have served either:

   • At least 3 semesters at UP, or

   • As a General Committee member of the Student Sport Committee.

5. Not have been found guilty by the University’s Disciplinary Committee for any transgressions.

 Steps to Nominate Yourself

Follow these easy steps to complete your nomination:

1. Log in to the UP Portal

   • Go to the UP Portal and ensure you're on the main page.

   • Navigate to the Student Centre portlet.

2. Access the Student Leadership Tab

   • In the Student Centre, click on the Student Leadership Dashboard.

   • Select the Student Leadership Nominations tile.

3. Select "UP Student Sport"

   • Choose the option to run for UP Student Sport.

   • Note: You will only be able to nominate yourself during the official nomination period.

4. Complete Your Nomination Form

   • Fill in all required information accurately.

   • Select the portfolio role you'd like to run for.

   • Submit your application.

5. Check Your Nomination Status

   • Track your nomination progress through the Student Leadership tab under the Leadership Nomination Page.
