General Committee

About the General Committee

The General Committee (GC) is a vital part of the Student Sport Committee, working closely with the Executive Committee (EC) to ensure the successful execution of all plans and initiatives. While the EC is responsible for strategizing and planning, the GCs bring these plans to life through dedicated support and teamwork.

What Do GCs Do?

  • GCs assist the ECs in carrying out the logistics and operations required for sports events and activities. From setting up venues to managing schedules, GCs assist in ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day.
  • GCs work alongside the ECs to implement marketing plans, create awareness, and engage the student community through media and communication efforts.
  • By participating in sports activations and supporting outreach efforts, GCs help create a welcoming and enthusiastic sports environment for all students.

Why Join the General Committee?

Becoming a GC is a unique opportunity to:

  • Gain practical experience by assisting in the execution of large-scale events and programs.
  • Develop teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Work alongside dynamic leaders and gain insight into the behind-the-scenes operations of the Student Sport Committee.
  • Be part of the driving force that brings the EC’s vision to life, making an impact on student sports culture.
