Dr Paul Van Staden is on a postdoctoral visit to McMaster University, Canada. Prof Balakrishnan, a Distinguished University Professor, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, McMaster University, Hamilton is his mentor. A recent doctoral student of Prof Balakrishnan, Hon Yiu (Henry) is collaborating with Paul on two-piece Laplace distributions.
