Posted on June 30, 2020

"With the COVID-19 pandemic reshaping professional and social landscapes, it has highlighted the critical role of connected technologies during these unprecedented times. In one way, the pandemic has accelerated eHealth trends that were already starting to shape the future of health care and audiology" (Ratanjee-Vanmali, Swanepoel & LaPlante-Levesque, 2020).

The Hearing Journal recently featured an article by Husmita Ratanjee-Vanmali, a PhD student in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, supervised by Prof De Wet Swanepoel and Prof Ariane LaPlante-Levesque. This timely article considers how the digital revolution can strengthen the role of the audiologist, especially during COVID-19.
