World Congress of Audiology bid for 2018 successful

During the XXXI World Congress of Audiology held in Moscow (from 29 April to 3 May 2012) the 2018 conference host city was awarded to Cape Town, South Africa. This will be the first time since the inception meeting of 1952 that this prestigious conference will be held on the continent of Africa.

Prof De Wet Swanepoel from the Department of Communication Pathology presented the bid in Moscow on behalf of the South African Speech Language and Hearing Association and the South African Association of Audiologists.
