Welcome to the 2024 University of Pretoria Music Festival.

The University of Pretoria Music Festival (UPMF) serves a twofold purpose: it presents captivating performances by established and emerging musicians while also serving as a platform for training many of South Africa’s exceptionally talented young classical and jazz musicians. Throughout the festival, students and attendees are immersed in a week filled with inspiring music, engaging in top-tier lectures, masterclasses, and workshops led by visiting guest artists and the esteemed UP music faculty.

Now in its sixth year, the festival proudly hosts a variety of South Africa’s most distinguished musicians who will deliver concerts, masterclasses, and workshops.

Attendees can anticipate a diverse array of events throughout the UPMF, so keep an eye open for this year's program as it will serve as your comprehensive guide, containing all necessary information about the various events.

Our Enrichment Festival will take place on the 14th-19th of August and our Music Festival on the 19th-23rd of August.

Admission to all events is free of charge, and everyone is encouraged to attend!
