The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Pretoria (UP) recently welcomed a high-level delegation from the Mastercard Foundation. The visit, which took place on 25 March, served as a crucial opportunity to celebrate the program's achievements during its successful first decade and lay the groundwork for Phase II.

The esteemed delegation included Ms. Ivy Mwai, Ms. Yewande Apatira, and Ms. Carol Nuga, who met with both the program staff at UP and Mastercard Foundation Scholars. During the visit, they held an onboarding session to discuss progress on Phase II and chart the future direction of the Program.

This collaborative session fostered open communication and allowed both parties to share valuable insights. The Mastercard Foundation representatives gained a deeper understanding of the Program's impact on Scholars at UP, while the Program staff received valuable guidance for Phase II.
