The Laboratory for Atmospheric Studies (LAS) received initial seed funding from Eskom and Sasol. Since its inception, LAS has supported research on atmospheric science in South Africa.
The LAS at the University of Pretoria aims to not only become a national centre of excellence with an international reputation, but also to be a leading facility in conducting integrated problem based research in finding solutions to South Africa’s atmospheric related challenges.
