On May 17, 2024, excitement filled the University of Pretoria's Groenkloof Campus as House Education hosted the annual Face of Education pageant at Normal Hall. This anticipated event united students and faculty in celebrating beauty, intelligence, and advocacy.

The evening climaxed with Zinhle Mankgane being crowned Face of Education 2024. Known for advocating mental wellness, she highlighted the crucial need for support systems for students facing challenges. Her speech resonated, shedding light on overlooked academic issues.

A touching moment came when House Education Chairperson Bonolo Matona honored Professor Salome Human-Vogel, Deputy Dean of Teaching and Learning, for her outstanding student support. This gesture underscored her impact on student well-being.

The event acknowledged judges Professor Salome Human-Vogel, Mr. Sanele Sibeko, and Ms. Nokwazi Nxumalo, ensuring a fair evaluation of participants' talents and contributions.

Special thanks went to Groenkloof Facilities Management team members Lucille Weyer and Lucky Nkwane for their essential event planning support. Event planner Ms. Buhle Skosana closed with heartfelt gratitude to all involved.
