House History

How House Education Started

Previously known as Jakaranda, House Education was a breakaway from Jakarandia, splitting to form the Faculty House, with Docendo being the day house.

The blue and yellow colors are our famous faculty colors, standing unique. Docendo continued with the original red and blue colors of Jakaranda.

The Faculty House was formulated in 2015 under the chairmanship of Mr. Musa Muphi, the first-ever chairperson of the House, with Mr. Kgaogelo Sam Tladi taking over the Faculty House in 2016-17 as the elected chairperson. Our former house guardian, Dr. Maximus Monageng Sefotho, used to say, "We are the foundation of how we want the future of this house to be," and indeed, the leadership of Ms. Boniswa Tele carried through the vision from 2017-18, ensuring that the house and its beautiful bright colors stood out.

House Education represents everything a faculty house should represent: unity, diversity, and academic excellence, as seen by the generations that follow to the present.
