The University of Pretoria secured second place on the Men's Varsity Hockey log after they despatched the University of the Free State 8-0 in the final match of Day Three's action at the Tuks Astro.

The third game of day four of Varsity Hockey saw Tuks comfortably beat the Madibaz 6-1, to wrap up their Wits leg of the competition and remain unbeaten, ahead of their home (Tuks) leg next weekend.

The last game of day three of Varsity Hockey saw Wits come really close to making a comeback but Tuks did what was necessary to emerge 6-5 winners in the dying moment of the match.

The second day of action at the Varsity Hockey tournament saw Tuks and NWU play to a 4-4 draw at full time, but because the tournament rules stipulate that there has to be a winner, both teams were involved in a shootout which Tuks won 3-2.

The TuksHockey Women’s team completed a unique double over the weekend when they managed to beat the University of Johannesburg in the final of the South African Universities (USSA) Tournament. The team is also the Varsity Champions.
