Both teams are relatively young, but the talented youngsters recruited by the technical staff have proven to help continue the success associated with both these teams in recent years.
Both teams won their Intervarsity matches 2-1 against UJ and their respective performances in the league indicated that the preparation for USSA is well underway.
The men’s team boast an incredible line up led by Keagan Robinson who is certainly a player to watch out for in years to come. SA u18 Player of the year, Grant Glutz, as well as other promising youngsters Ross Gonsalves, Nick Berichon and Kewan Harries, have settled into this side which is strong with seasoned campaigners such as Malcom Ratz , Mark Holiday and Chris Cloete. Cloete is the current leading goal scorer in the league with an impressive 9 goals in 7 matches.
On the ladies front the team is led by Northerns Senior Ladies player, Sumari Kruger, and Tarryn Moses, who was invited to National Senior Camp in January after being announced as Northerns 2011 Player of the Season-Ladies. The team is boosted further by new recruits and SA u21 Squad members Jacintha Jubb, Hlubi Sipamla, Phumi Mbande and Lilian Du Plessis.
