TuksHockey will be represented by not only current players but also by former players. Included in the ever improving Investec SA Women’s Hockey Team is Dirkie Chamberlain, who is making a name for herself on the international stage as well as in Holland where she is based for the European Hockey season. Also forming part of the contingent is utility player, Nicolene Terblanche, who has cemented her place in the ladies team with outstanding performances in preparation for the London Olympics.
The SA Men’s Team comprises of TuksHockey Men’s players Justine Reid-Ross, Rhett Halkett and Jonathan Robinson as well as former players and goal scoring machines Lloyd Norris-Jones and Thornton McDade.
The Club is proud of these players and this remarkable achievement which proves not only that hard work and perseverance is rewarded but that TuksHockey certainly is a breeding ground for talent in SA hockey. Especially if one considers that Vuyisanani Mangisa, as well as Kim Hubach, were part of the final Investec SA Women’s Hockey side and marginally missed out on making the final cut to play on the highest of international sporting stages.
Follow these players on Facebook and Twitter and read all about their preparation to London Olympics. The TuksHockey Facebook page and Twitter page @TuksHockey will keep you updated on all the events leading up to and during the Olympics.
