The University of Pretoria Tuks made great progress in the first and third quarters as they beat the University of Free State Kovsies 5-2 on the opening day of Varsity Hockey at the University of Johannesburg on Friday.

This year Summer League comes to an end after 7 days of social hockey, for some it was more competitive than others but at the end it was once again a great success!

Friday 3 July saw the end of a very busy and action-packed week for TuksSport as 9 different sports codes were competing in their respective USSA tournaments across the country.

The TuksHockey Men have had long three year journey to Gold. The team was relegated to the B section in 2013. In 2014 they won the B section and regained their position the A section and finally now in 2015 have returned to glory winning Gold in the USSA Hockey Men’s A Section.

TuksHockey Men’s and Women’s teams are both looking forward to the USSA Tournament this week. They have been training vigorously and cannot wait to show the other universities what they’ve got.
