TuksFencing allows prospective new athletes a four-week “try-out” period. Should an athlete decide to take up fencing, they will be required to register and pay the applicable annual membership fees as set out below.

Annual club membership fees for 2025

• Full membership: R1100 (Seniors & Juniors)
• Multi-disciplinary sport: R550 (e.g. infrequently training pentathletes)

Annual membership fees go towards the maintenance of equipment and facilities, including cleaning, security, and utilities, and exclude coaching fees; see “Additional fees” below.

Additional Fees

• Monthly coaching fees are excluded from the annual membership fees and will be negotiated between the athlete and coaches.
