Inqaba Biotechnical Industries (Pty) Ltd, trading as inqaba biotec™ in Sub-Saharan Africa, is a unique South African Genomics company that was established in 2002. Inqaba is Xhosa for “rare and precious” and this pays homage to our South African origin. The company premises are based in Muckleneuk, Pretoria with subsidiaries in both East and West Africa.

Our in-house services include synthesis of oligonucleotides/probes, Sanger DNA and NGS sequencing, SNP & Methylation analysis, Bioinformatics support, NIPT and Phylogenetic & Molecular techniques courses. We are also distributors of strong leading international manufacturers of life science reagents such as the molecular biology portfolio of New England BioLabs, nucleic acid purification systems from Zymo Research, pipettes, centrifuges and thermal cyclers from Eppendorf and many more including molecular diagnostics solutions.
