In an electrifying showcase of spirit, unity, and rhythm, EBIT House proudly represented the only faculty house to reach the finals of the prestigious Step-Up 2025 competition. Teaming up with NatHouse and Health House, the powerhouse collaboration—called Mzansi Army—stormed the stage and earned a well-deserved 2nd place for Most Multicultural Performance.

Held at what was undoubtedly a high-energy venue, Step-Up 2025 brought together student houses and organizations from across campus in a vibrant celebration of dance, diversity, and community. EBIT House’s collaboration with NatHouse and Health House proved to be a strategic and cultural triumph, blending dynamic choreography with a bold, unifying message.

Clad in military-themed black-and-camo attire, the Mzansi Army brought precision and passion to the stage. The group's performance was not only a technical display of coordination and flair but also delivered a creative and powerful message. The team’s slogan, “No DNA, Just RSA,” was a call for unity across differences, celebrating South Africa’s rich diversity beyond genetic or racial labels.

Their award-winning performance reflected a deep commitment to multiculturalism, a value that earned them recognition from the judges, composed of culture and performance professionals. The certificate, signed by event representatives including Bhaviksha Ramouthar and Charline Makhado, acknowledged their impact among a sea of competitive talent.

More than just a dance competition, Step-Up 2025 became a platform for cross-house solidarity. EBIT House's participation, leadership, and inclusion in the finalist circle stood out. This feat also marks a significant achievement as the only faculty house team to make it to the finals—a testament to the hard work, unity, and vision of all members involved.

From concept to choreography, the Mzansi Army showcased what it truly means to step up—not just in movement, but in meaning.
