On the 18th of October 29, 2014 the new EBIT Faculty house committee, went and painted a Pre-school, as part of the first community outreach project and team building for the whole team. The Pre-school is located in Booysens, Pretoria North, and is ran by an NGO, catering for over 95 children from the ages of 1 to 6. Most of the children at this facility are children from that area with some of the children coming as far as Soshanguve.

The facility is ran primarily on donations from generous sponsors, as apart from giving these young children a learning opportunity, the children are given 3 meals a day, after which they then go back to their homes.
The faculty house members, went and managed to paint at the new premise, mainly the walls in many different colours to create a suitable learning environment. Due to great team effort and drive, the team managed to cover a great amount of work.

The Booysens Project will be one of many projects that the faculty house has planned for the coming year, and we strongly encourage all those who want to get involved in some community outreach programs to join in and have fun! Whilst making a difference in the society.
