During her 3 weeks, learners participated in discussion about the differences between South Africa and the United states and thorouly enjoyed an interactive puppet show. Donvé hopes to see Manhattan Country School acquire puppets as she feels the teachers would benefit from this art form during observations.
MSC embraces imagination and creativityand achieves their mission whereby learners are exposed to celebrating culturally diverse holidays and visiting different socio- economic homes in order to become caring members of a diverse global community.
Donvé 's mentor teacher was a very generous, caring and wise person. She was open to suggestions and made recommendations with a critical eye. The friendly educators at MCS were not only accommodating and willing to share their knowledge but demonstrated a professional attitude inorder to become wonderful role models. On her return she brought back many learning experiences with regards to the fascinating study of child development.
