ECE students get creative

Posted on August 18, 2011

The book can be any genre and the student must illustrate the book themselves. The student then has to read the story book at a pre-school and formulate activities from their story book. This is an opportunity for students to put theory and practice together in a classroom situation and to reflect on their experience. The story books are then submitted to the Oxford University Press (SA) where ten to fifteen of the best stories are chosen. Every student that enters their book into the competition receives a package containing educational material and the winners receive a book prize at the prize-giving ceremony. The prize-giving is organized by students and sponsored by Oxford University Press and Mrs. Magda Scheepers.
