About Us

The naturalness of believing from a Christian evolutionary perspective (Dogmatics) and living by valuing humanness and creation (Christian Ethics) represent the main foci of the Department.

Within Dogmatics (also called Systematic Theology) traditional dogmatic themes such as the doctrine of revelation, God, Christ, Holy Spirit, anthropology, soteriology, church and eschatology are taught as well as themes relating to cultural literacy (such as the theology of music, art, the film industry), contemporary philosophical themes (such as spirituality) and contemporary issues (science-theology relationship with special reference to physics and biology).

Within Ethics traditional ethical themes such as the origin and nature of ethical reflection and values are addressed, as well as contemporary issues relating to social ethics and leadership, human sexuality and medical ethics.
