Mr Dawie de Villiers holds the following degrees from the University of Pretoria: BCom Accounting (1974), BCom (Hons) Accounting (1977) and MSc in Real Estate Sciences (1993). He received Dux Honorary Colours, was Chairman of the Olienhout House Committee, played for the Tuks Cricket first team and captained the Tuks cricket reserve team. He was selected to be an external examiner for the Faculty Real Estate Management from 2006 to  2010. He was also a lecturer in Property Management at UP. Mr de Villiers served on the UP Property Advisory Committee and the UP Convocation Advisory Board as Chairman of the Safety and Security Committee from 2020 to 2024. In his capacity as Chairman of the Safety and Security Committee and his involvement with the Hatfield CID, Mr de Villiers played a pivotal role in the implementation and roll-out of the panic button system in February 2024. Currently he is the Chairman and Director of MidCity Property Group. He was also one of the founders of the MidCity Property Group. Previously Mr de Villiers was also Provincial Chairman, Gauteng North Board of Directors, ASSA Group Ltd, Chairman, Pretoria Sakekamer and President of the South African Property Owners Association, Gauteng.
