Description:

  • Pangolin diseases and microbiome of pangolins, a baseline collaborative project

Transfrontier conservation areas and the interaction of wildlife and domestic animals, humans and ecosystems.

Project:

  • Transmission of disease between carnivores (Apex predators to mongoose)

Description:

  • My PhD project , Supervisor Prof GT Fosgate
  • Looking at various disease including parasites, microbiome, serology, virus

  • Tick prevalence and identification
  • GIS Mapping of ticks found and identification of the ticks, and linking it up with diseases found in the area
Wildlife health, production and food security
  • Validation of tests for wildlife, including TB
  • Antimicrobial resistance determination in wildlife
  • Foot and mouth
