LJ won in 48.71, 0.07 seconds faster than the time he clocked on 8 June in Prague with which he qualified for World Championships.
LJ and his coach, Nico van Heerden, were both on cloud nine.
In an interview with the daily Beeld LJ said his season is at last taking shape, whilst Nico paid tribute to his athlete for starting peaking at exactly the right time.
“It could be the start of greater things to come,” said Nico.
