On Saturday, March 9, Jovan van Vuuren made sure of qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games by jumping 8.30 metres during the 2024 Gauteng North Championships held at Pilditch Stadium. It is a massive personal best for the UP-Tuks student-athlete. His previous best was 8.16 metres (2022).
