Cremona was in good form on Friday when he participated in the qualifying rounds of the Shot Put for men and finished 7th out of a field of 19 participants and advanced to the final of the event later that evening.

The competition in the final was fierce - for the 1st time ever in an IAAF World Indoor Championships, 5 athletes bettered 21m, highlighting the quality of the competitors in this event. Cremona ended again in 7th place in the final with a distance of 20.49 - only 6cm away from his personal best which he set in 2013. All the participants in the final achieved a distance of 20m or better.

Another member of TuksAthletics, Carina Horn, participated in the 60m for women and came 3rd during her heat and advanced to the semi-final of this event. In the semi-final, she can 7th and unfortunately failed to advance to the final.
