The one year, full-time, studio-based Honours programmes in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Interior Architecture (Professional) makes full use of the Department’s interdisciplinary focus and national and international collaboration to offer students an experience that is embedded in real-life research and practice, with outcomes that promote knowledge exchange within the academic environment, as well as in the professional context. They are exposed to complex social, cultural and environmental problems at multiple scales, and encouraged to follow a holistic and regenerative design approach.

• Dr Ida Breed - Landscape Architect (Biodiversity and ecosystems projects)
• Dr Carin Combrinck - Architect (Public interest design and community projects)
• Johan Swart - Architect (Heritage and archive projects)
• Dr Jan Hugo - Architect (Sustainability and climate adaptation projects)
• Anika van Aswegen - Interior Architect (User centered design and interface projects)
• Dr Calayde Davey (Urbanism and digital cities projects)

A variety of guest lecturers and project specialists are also invited on an annual basis to present studio projects or guest modules.
