The David Uys trophy is awarded to the best article published in the South African Journal of Animal Science (SAJAS) in a specific year. This year, the trophy is awarded to the article by Linde et al. (2022) entitled 'Rumen microbial diversity of Bonsmara cattle using amplicon sequencing during a 120-day growth trial'.

Dr. Dina Linde completed her PhD at the University of Pretoria under the guidance of Prof Este van Marle-Koster and Dr Linde du Toit from the University of Pretoria and Dr Dirkjan Schokker of Wageningen University.
