The research committee for the department has been estalished. The committe members are Prof Rantloane, Drs Spijkerman, Khobo-Mpe, Alberts, Dipennaar. Its primary function is to oversee and co-ordinate research within the department. It will be the first entry point in the research process where research proposals will be reviewed before being submitted to the various university committees. In addition the committe will oversee research supervision, being responsible for allocation of supervisors with the long term role of building supervisory and research capacity within the department.
