The TuksWomen’s 7’s rugby team played two 10-minutes-a-side games against UJ on Monday night at the UP Sports Camps. UJ was the runner-up at the USSA 7’s in 2015.

Although it was raining heavily both teams insisted on playing and, therefore, the games proceeded despite the terrible weather.

In the first game, Tuks won 33 – 10. Libbie Janse van Rensburg played exceptionally well.

In the second game, Tuks won 45-7 and this time, it was an opportunity for Nadine Roos and Shona-Leigh Weston to outshine the UJ team.

Libbie and Nadine have just returned from Las Vegas after playing in the Las Vegas 7’s for the Springbok team and will be leaving at the beginning of April to play for the Springbok team in the Hong Kong 7’s.

These matches were very good preparation for the Tuks team who will be participating in the Lindley 7’s on 9 April 2016 and will be touring to play in France from 4 to 15 May 2016.
