The Department of Architecture hosted validation panels representing the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP), the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) and the South African Council for the Landscape Architectural Profession (SACLAP) from 27 February to 1 March 2017.

We are proud to announce that all six the professional programmes in the architecture and landscape architecture streams, from undergraduate to professional postgraduate levels, were unconditionally re-validated by all the panels for the next five years.

Our sincere thanks to the visiting boards and hearty congratulations to Prof Chrisna du Plessis (HoD), Prof Arthur Barker (SACAP & CAA validation coordinator) and Dr Ida Breed (SACLAP validation coordinator).

The interior architecture programmes were not assessed during this visit, but will, in all likelihood, be included in the next SACAP validation.
