About us 

The Work integrated Learning Office (Teaching Practice)is responsible for facilitating, coordinating and managing the teaching practice process at the university as required by Minimum Requirements for Teacher Qualifications, 2011 (MRTEQ ). Education students are required to do School-Based Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and this forms part as an integral part of the programmes offered in the faculty. The main modules are as follows below:

• Teaching Practice 280 in the second year;

• Teaching Practice 380 in the third year;

• Teaching Practice 452 Semester 1 in the fourth year;

• Teaching Practice 453 semester 2 in the fourth year; 

• Teaching Practice 410 semester 1 for PGCE programme; and 

• Teaching Practice 420 semester 2 for the PGCE programme.
