UP Chorale


 

 

The UP CHORALE was established in 1998 and was known as ‘Tuks Afrika Sings’ at that time, consisting of only 8 choristers. The choir was established to promote a cultural environment and celebrate the diversity of individuals on campus through song and dance, it is currently under the leadership of conductor Mbuso Ndlovu.        

 

Who are they….?  

  • A choir that represents South Africa’s 11 official languages
  • By rejuvenating the African spirit through song and dance,
  • We celebrate the diversity of our country.
  • The ultimate redefinition of African renaissance through chorale music  

 

What type of music…?

  • African and Western conducted pieces.
  • South African indigenous programme in 11 official languages 
  • Poetry
  • Gumboot Dance
