The South African 400m-hurdles champion, Wenda Nel proved last night during the Liquid Telecom Athletics Grand Prix-meeting at Tuks that she was a quick learner when she raced to a winning time of 55.31s.

The 20-year-old Clarence Munyai (Tuks) joined an elite group of South African sprinters on Saturday when he “blitzed” the 100 metres in a time of 10.10s at the Gauteng North Championships.
