TuksSquash : Colderst USSA's ever

Posted on July 06, 2011

Besides the freezing temperatures the rain has soaked into every corner of the complexes leaving the players stiff and numb at the same time. warming up before a match has taken a whole new meaning with players running around for up to 30 mins before stepping on court.

The Tuks team are facing stiff opposition with many universities using the services of mature students just to stay competitive. almost all the top varsities have imported 28 years olds to play at number one!

As the youngest team around, Tuks will be facing a tough match against UJ who have added both Jan Hendrik Mulder and Marco Bekker to their line up in a desperate effort to reclaim the title which Tuks has kept out of their reach for the past 6 years.

Cheyna Tucker, Senade Haupt and Menanto Stoltz seem to have secured their USSA Top 6 slots with Ashleigh Ditchfield, Amy Viljoen and Craig Stephens being given play offs towards their positions in the Top 6. With a tour to the USA on the cards the stakes are high and we hope all 3 can rise to the occasion.

Hold thumbs for Friday's match and help Tuks to unthaw and play their way to another trophy

YEAH TUKS !!!
