It was with great sadness that we heard of the passing away of Herman (HEC) Tesner on 20 December 2017. He was our beloved Speech Science lecturer from 1967 until his retirement in 2009 from the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Three postgraduate audiology students presented four oral presentations at the Coalition for Global Hearing Health in Miami Florida on 12 - 14 October 2017. The presentations by the students from the Department of Speech-Language Pathology were very well-received.
