General Information

Conference Venue

The conference will take place at The Innovation Hub (www.theinnovationhub.com), adjacent to the University of Pretoria’s LC de Villiers Sports Centre. The organizing committee will provide transport between the Hatfield area (University of Pretoria main campus) and the conference venue.  Details for transportation between the Hotels (Hatfield area) and the conference venue are found here. Accommodation

There is a variety of accommodation options within walking distance from the Hatfield campus of the University of Pretoria. Delegates have to arrange their own accommodation and the recommended options are:

Note that you will have to arrange for your own transport if you prefer staying outside the Hatfield area.

Transport from OR Tambo Airport to Hatfield

The OC recommends using Gautrain for transfers between OR Tambo Airport and Hatfield (Pretoria). When using the Gautrain, please take note of the following important information.

1. From the arrivals section, please follow the Gautrain signs that will take you to the Gautrain station.
2. The first and last train from OR Tambo airport to Hatfield departs at 5:30am and 20:28pm, respectively. The first and last train from Hatfield to OR Tambo airport departs at 5:26 and 20:30, respectively.
3. The current fare is R174 for a single trip between Hatfield and OR Tambo.
4. Tickets (Gold cards) are bought at automatic teller machines at any Gautrain station. A minimal once-off fee is charged for the Gold card. You may use cash or a credit card to buy a Gold card.
5. Important: You will have to change trains at the Marlboro station. From the Marlboro station, you get the train that brings you to Hatfield (don’t get off at the Pretoria station).

Registration Fees

Payment should be made by 15 November. The option of payment of registration fees at the registration desk is only available after approval and must be communicated with Michael Chapwanya ([email protected]). However, we will only accept payment in South African Rand. The most convenient way is to change your foreign notes at the airport or to withdraw cash at an ATM on the airport. The fee will be as follows:

Members of SAMSA: R3450 (Student members: R1800)

Non-members of SAMSA: R3750 (R1950 for students that are not members)
