Mr Tinashe Chingoka

Position, academic & professional qualifications

Tinashe Chingoka is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Private Law. He holds a BA (Law) Degree and an LLB both from the University of Pretoria. He is also an LLM Candidate for the Constitutional and Administrative Law Programme offered at the University.

 

Academic & professional experience

He joined the Department in 2020 as an Academic Associate, assisting with the Law of Contracts 211 and Private Law 420 modules on the LLB Programme. Before that he was a student at the University of Pretoria, completing his BA (Law) (2017) and LLB (2019). In that period, he also served on multiple Student Governance structures, with the highest position being the Residence Representative on the Temporary Student Committee that acted in place of The UP Student Representative Council in 2017. He conducted a peer review for articles that were submitted to the International Journal of Private Law in 2019.

 

Teaching activities

He teaches Law of Contracts 211 and Law of Delict 310 on the LLB Curriculum.

 

Areas of specialisation

His areas of interest are Constitutional Law and Contract Law.
