Position, academic and professional qualifications
Refiloe Kgopotso Maunatlala is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Private Law at the University of Pretoria. She obtained a BA Law degree in 2015 and an LLB degree in 2017 from the University of Pretoria. An LLM degree in Private Law was conferred upon her in September of 2019. She is currently enrolled for an LLD at the aforementioned University, which she aims to complete in 2021.
Academic and professional experience
Maunatlala was appointed as an Academic Associate in the Department of Private Law in February of 2018 and was employed as an Academic Associate for two years. Thereafter she was appointed as an Assistant Lecturer in the same department in 2020.
Maunatlala also works as a sessional external marker for the University of Witwatersrand, where she assists in marking Law of Succession and Bill of Rights. She is also a reviewer for the De Jure Journal.
Maunatlala currently assists with lecturing Law of Succession to undergraduate students.
Areas of specialisation
Maunatlala’s areas of interest lie within the fields of Customary Law and Law of Succession.
