2018 Taiwan Scholarship

In an effort to encourage outstanding international students to undertake undergraduate, masters or doctorate studies, the government of the Republic of China established the Taiwan Scholarship Programme. The programme offers student the opportunity to undertake their studies in Taiwan and aims to promote communication, understanding and friendship between Taiwan and the international community. 

Award value: 
The scholarship programme provides each recipient with up to TWD 40,000 (R16 200) for tuition fee per semester and monthly stipend TWD 15,000 (R 6,100) for undergraduate studies; TWD 20,000 (R 8,100) for graduate studies. 

Students are requested to compile the following documents before the application can be processed.

1. Copy of the highest degree obtained and official transcript.
2. Proof of admission to universities in Taiwan. Applicants must apply directly to the university/college for admission within the application deadline.
3. Study plan.
4. Two letters of recommendation.
5. Photocopy of applicant’s passport or proof of nationality.
