On Tuesday 13 September 2016, the Department of Political Sciences held a panel discussion to reflect on, analyse and explain the implications of the local government elections in South Africa. The panel included Ebrahim Fakir (Manager, Electoral Institute of SA) and Sithembile Mbete (Dept of Political Sciences, UP) in conversation with Nompumelelo Runji (Dept of Political Sciences, UP).
